Legal Requirements
If Val is Marriage Celebrant, you will need to get your Notice of Intent to Marry lodged with her no more than 18 months prior to your marrying date and no less than 30 days. If you are within the 18 month time frame, just get it done and tick the box. This requirement applies to all Celebrants.
Fill in your Notice of Intent to Marry and have your Celebrant sign and witness or get a JP/Police Officer or other qualified person to witness your signature. Then lodge with your Celebrant. Your Notice must be received no less than 30 days prior to your Wedding date, your celebrant will remind you wherever possible, but it is your responsibility to ensure that it is lodged on time. No Notice = No Wedding! Not a good place to be.
Click here for your Notice of Intended Marriage:- Very, very important.
As of September 1st 2021 there is a new Notice of Intended Marriage Form (NOIM) and this must be used as of this date. All previously received NOIM’s will be valid, however any new notices after on or after 01/9/2021 must be on the new style form.
Closer to your wedding you will be meeting with your Celebrant and discussing your ceremony and preparing your personal vows… this is usually 4-6 weeks prior to your ceremony. This is usually the time when you are all organised and have your "romantic" head on so as to enable you to compose your vows and decide on ceremony details.
Think of your wedding lead up as a tapestry…we will be adding to it piece by piece and the picture will become clearer and clearer as we add more and more threads to it.
Most importantly, don't forget we are here to help you.. We will oversee your running sheet and manage your day for you, so that you can relax and enjoy yourselves...
You will never walk alone :)

If you are affected by Covid restrictions, as we have said in previous communications, Marriage is all about a whole lifetime together… so postponing your wedding or altering the sequence of events won’t be the end of the world.

Love has no boundaries… The most important thing is that a couple who love one another are able to show their love in whatever way they can and that we can make it special.

In 3-6 months time all of this may well be behind us, but in the meantime we will do anything we can for you to have your perfect day.. even if it comes in stages…

Thankyou for sticking by us… We won’t let you down.
